press

"You would not guess from Ben’s gentle voice and pleasing harmonic progressions the intensity of emotions and social commentary embodied in his lyrics. New Paint is full of such surprises, delivered in flawless musical packaging."
- peter alexander, coastal journal

"Ben provides us with a sparse and intimate look at songwriting with his new album, New Paint. The songs vary in color from the folk revival movement of the 60’s, the subdued funk of Bill Withers, and the bleak and openheartedness of Joni Mitchell, while still retaining moments of laughter and lightness. A true and honest songwriter in the craftsmanship of songwriting."
- sean morin, fontier program director
